Saint Matthew’s Church in Long Beach invites all to their annual Pride Mass that has, for the past several years, taken place each June—this year on Sunday, June 29th. Mass will be held in the church sanctuary at 3:00 p.m., and will be followed with a reception in the parish hall, which will include food, drinks, and an opportunity to celebrate their 28 years together as a community that openly and happily includes all of God’s people, gay and straight alike.

For more, visit their web site. Saint Matthew Church is located at:

672 Temple Ave
Long Beach, CA 90814

A special invitation is extended to all of those persons who stopped by the CMLGP booth at the Los Angeles Pride Festival, which took place June 7 and 8, and the Comunidad booth at the Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride Festival, which took place on May 17 and 18. A wonderful, welcoming liturgy is planned for all who wish to attend.

A Note about parking for those who have never been to Saint Matthew Church: There are three entrances to the parking lot, one off Temple Ave. (to the right of the rectory/parish office building, which is just to the right of the church building), and two others off Theresa St (which parallels 7th St.).
